At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy (Spoiler Alert), The infinity stone is left in the hands of the Nova Corps. This may be because, in the next movie Guardians 2, Marvel is planning to have the Nova Corps experiment with the infinity stones and create Nova and the Nova force, which would be cool since there has been no mention of the at all and they won’t have their own solo movie.
